♤ No limit to entries/characters/categories you enter. However, you may only win once, with one of the submissions.
♤ In the description of the contest entry, you must mention that it is for this contest and include a link to this journal.

♤ Entries must be completely original: no stolen/traced art or bases.
♤ Visual art only, but you can use any style and media.

♤ Do not attempt to contact the judges with the intention to gain their votes.

There will be ONE first place prize from each of the categories, and ONE runner up overall. So two first places, and one runner up. MORE PRIZES WILL BE ADDED!

I have two characters: Ignea and Hideko! One of them is more of a realistic, alternative universe character, and the other is more of a fantasy character. They do NOT belong in the same "universe."

IGNEA REFERENCE PICTURE

You may draw her in the outfit as shown in the reference picture, but you MAY also draw her in a formal outfit of your choice and design. Feel free to play with her hair! In the reference, only the top ring is her hair, and the rest are gold hair ties O: ! If you let it down, it's simply a red/golden gradient!!

How she holds the flute

Important details: Her mole under her left eye, her golden mickey mouse earring, and her hair colors. She's NOT tall: around 5'3" .

She has a fiery and an energetic personality. Unafraid to stand up for her beliefs and to fight for her loved ones, she has a reputation for being short tempered and rude. However, her music is famous for its beauty and elegance. She is a traveling flutist, and often performs on the streets, or on professional stages.


HIDEKO REFERENCE PICTURE

You must draw her in this outfit only, if you choose her!

She is connected with nature, particularly water. Calm and reserved, she is thoughtful of others, and does not hesitate to help those in need. She is part ox, and modeled after Pisces!

Important details: Her hairpin (a blue-green fish), her yin/yang hair ties, and her golden horns.

LEMON AND LIME REFERENCE PICTURE

Lemon:
Age: 11 Height: 4'11" Weight: 93 lbs
- very happy, bubbly personality, somewhat tomboy-ish
- loves her twin brother very much
- not very smart, loves to play
- has a very quirky sense of style, loves accessories
- has a leaf on her left, our right, side of her head

Lime:
Age: 11 Height: 5'0" Weight: 99 lbs
- calm and collected most of the time, socially awkward and not very manry at all
- loves his twin sister, but gets a little bothered by how clingy she is
- likes to read, hates math, an average student
- has a leaf on his right, our left, side of his head
- bothered by his height and wears shoe inserts
- clothes picked out by his twin sister because he doesn't know how to dress

Important details: They wear matching wristbands. They do NOT have an incest sort of relationship. Lemon's supposed to represent the fizz and Lime the cool, refreshing-ness of lemon-lime soda. If you use different outfits for them, make sure that it stays in the color scheme and that it reflects their personalities!

TORU REFERENCE PICTURE

Age: 17 years old
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 110 lbs
Temperament: Relatively friendly easy going, but gets quite scary when angry. Gets irked by little things, but doesn't show it most of the time. Stubborn, but loyal to her close friends and family.
Other:
- She wanders around the woods and prefers avoiding crowded, urban areas
- She has a beautiful, soprano singing voice and loves to sing while she's wandering
- She lives in a cottage on the country side, but she prefers sleeping outside.

Judges!  
♤ We will judge based on:
      > accuracy: how accurately the character(s) is/are portrayed
      > effort: how much time and effort is put into the piece
      > creativity: pretty self explanatory!
♤ First, the judges will pick the top 10 pieces from one category (if there are more than 10 submissions) and put them in a poll. The judges will then consider the top 3 with the most votes, and pick the first place winner. Then, the same will be done with the other category in another poll. The same process will be applied, and the first place winner will be chosen. Runner up will be decided afterwards, and will be chosen by the judges! The runner up does not necessarily have to be in the top 3.
